Colleen and Zento's story starts in Burlington, Vermont. They orbited around each other for a while before finally colliding in 2019. At the time, Zento was working full time as a project manager and squeezing in as many video and photography projects as he could. Colleen was just accepted into graduate school, gearing up for a transition from working in education to social work. Immediate sparks were stoked into a flame through days skiing at Stowe, bowling at Champlain Lanes, and a mutual admiration for absurdist humor. As 2020 and the pandemic approached, a life of socializing and morphing their friend groups turned into quiet moments and braving the big things together.

Then came the decision to trade the Green Mountains for the great Cascades. Portland, Oregon has been home for Colleen and Zento since 2021. Settling in the Pacific North West has been an adventure that has brought on big career moves, a couple of broken windows, a move to the suburbs (we don't really like to talk about this), and creating a special community of friends old and new. In moments of both chaos and bliss, Colleen and Zento can still be found laughing at themselves and each other, speaking to each other in a language all their own, and learning from each other every day.
